A Brief Introduction To Pyrite Raw Materials
Jun 07, 2024| Pyrite raw materials are a complex sulfide mineral, the main component of which is FeS2. It is light brass-colored, often with a yellow-brown tin color on the surface, has a metallic luster, and a hardness of 6-6.5. It is a common metal mineral in nature and the most widely distributed sulfide in the earth's crust. [1-2] [7]
Pyrite raw materials are formed by various geological processes and can be found in a variety of rocks and ores (including coal seams). They have ornamental value and can be used as cheap gemstones (commonly known as "fool's gold"), and are used in industry to extract sulfur and make sulfuric acid.
