Calcium sulfate whisker is a new needle-shaped,fibrous subnanomaterial with a uniform cross-section,complete shape and perfect internal structure that grows in a single crystal form.

Calcium sulfate whisker has many advantages,such as high strength,high molulus,high toughness,high insulation,wear resistance,high temperature,acid and alkali resistance,corrosion resistance,good infrared reflectivity, easy surface treatment, easy compounding with polymers,and non-toxic properties.

High strength and toughness

Compared with the currently commonly used fillers,epoxy adhesives made with clcium sulfate crystals modified by silane couplers can improve the tensile strength by 50% to 120%,and the cutting strength can improve by 40% to 140%.

Good stability

Calcium sulfate whisker is applied to products,with a small difference in longitudinal and horizontal contracting rates to ensure the precision of product size and apperance.

Improving surface finish

Calcium sulfate whisker is shown as fiber strengthening,although the length is relatively large,but the size is small.When enhancing the product,the surface is smooth and lustrous.

Improving heat resistance

It has thermal uniformity of inorganic filler,with melting point of 1450 ℃.At 900℃,it still maintains its original mehanical properties.

Wear resistance

Calcium sulfate whisker has a relatively low surface hardness and good fluidity, thus can reduce wear on equipment.
