Brown Fused Alumina Grit High Al2O3 High Hardness

Brown Fused Alumina, commonly known as emery, is a brown artificial corundum produced through the smelting and reduction of primary raw materials such as bauxite and coke (or anthracite) in an electric furnace, hence its name. The main chemical component of Brown Fused Alumina is Al₂O₃, with a content ranging from 94.5% to 97%, along with small amounts of Fe, Si, Ti, and other elements. Abrasives made from Brown Fused Alumina are suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as various general-purpose steels, malleable cast iron, and hard bronze. It can also be used to produce advanced refractory materials. Brown Fused Alumina is characterized by high purity, good crystallisation, strong fluidity, a low coefficient of linear expansion, and corrosion resistance. Verified through practical applications by dozens of refractory production enterprises, this product exhibits features such as no bursting, no pulverisation, and no cracking during use.
