Production Method
Green silicon carbide shares a similar manufacturing process with black silicon carbide, but it demands higher-purity raw materials. It is synthesized in a resistance furnace at approximately 2200°C using petroleum coke, quartz sand, and salt additives. The result is a green, hexagonal crystalline structure with exceptional hardness-positioned between corundum and diamond-and superior mechanical strength.

Physical Properties
The material exhibits high brittleness, sharp edges, and notable thermal/electrical conductivity. Its SiC content exceeds that of black silicon carbide, offering enhanced semiconductor characteristics. The translucent green crystals are ideal for precision applications due to their consistent quality and clean surface finish.

Powder Processing
Green silicon carbide powder is produced by crushing large crystals, reshaping grains via vertical ball milling, and undergoing pickling, hydraulic grading, and drying. The process ensures uniform particle distribution, minimal fine particles, and zero oversized grains, making it suitable for high-accuracy grinding without workpiece scratches.
