Flap Disc Wheels is a type of industrial consumable product, it is widely used for grinding and polishing, it can be used for most of the same purposes as a regular grinding disc, it has the advantage of high bending strength, good self-sharpness, good grinding performance, high efficiency, good heat dispersion, high processing efficiency and so on.
There are three parts in a Flap Disc Wheel:
1.backing pads: it can be divided into four types according to different materials, fiberglass backing pads, nylon backing pads, plastic backing pads, steel backing pads, the size is from 75mm-220mm(2"-9"),and layers of fiberglass pads could be customized according to customer's requirement.
2.Flaps:the number of flaps /the brand of flaps/the size of flaps/the type of flaps, all these could be customized according to customers' requirement, the flaps are divided into thee types according to different materials-aluminum oxide, ceramic, zirconia.
3.Glue: fully automatic gluing can effectively control the amount of glue and maintain the excellent appearance of the flap disc.
We offer our Flap Disc Wheels in Zirconia as well as Ceramic and Aluminum Oxide in type T27 & T29,and the regular grit is 40,60,80,120 ,each type flap disc has their own application:
Zirconia flap disc is a tough abrasive with a high cut rate which can grind strong metals like stainless steel and titanium, it could reduce downtime while working depend on the grains are self-sharpening.
Ceramic flap disc is another strong abrasive which could be used in grinding metal surfaces, including carbon steel and aerospace alloys. The same like zirconia, ceramic is a friable abrasive grain that the new sharp grains are exposed continuously, to guarantee that you can keep on working ,a key feature of ceramic flap disc is the low temperature buildup compare with other material
Aluminum oxide flap disc is the best one for aluminum and other soft metals, also it is the most popular and widely used in grinding/polishing and surface treatment
We make shrinking each ten pieces, and pack one/two hundred pieces in one carton, one full pallet could load eight thousand to ten thousand pieces, final covering the total pallet with wrapping film, it will protect the flap disc efficiently even long distance/time transport.
