Preparation before opening the furnace
Connect the electrode: Blow the contact surface and tighten the thread.
Adjust the length of the electrode: The electrode is just in contact with the arcing coke, which will not affect the in and out of the furnace or tipping.
Measure the electrode distance and the distance between the electrode and the furnace wall.
Measure the insulation of the secondary conductive system: The resistance value of the insulation part>0.5MΩ.
Inspect system equipment such as furnace body transmission, electrode lifting, and feeding, as well as water, air pipes, valves, etc.
Opening the furnace
Place the arcing coke: The particle size of the arcing coke is 30-50mm. There are three ways to place it:
Solid triangle: large amount of starting coke, not easy to break the arc, use in the middle.
Hollow triangle: Small amount of starting coke, easy to break the arc, not commonly used.
Crystal shape: Small amount of arc starting coke, fast arc starting, easy to break the arc, used for furnace opening.
Power transmission
Arc starting: When the current rises to 20-30%, increase the bauxite arc pressure, and when the current load rises to 80%, the material can be added into the smelting.
Smelting
It is mainly divided into two processes the furnace method and the open furnace method (see the third point of the brown corundum smelting process methods and characteristics) for "control" operation and furnace condition analysis.
Control
Generally stop feeding, control the electrode to rise, and do not deal with small reactions. The resulting reaction block or "sniff block" post-processing. To prevent the phenomenon of suspension.
Refining
Before transferring to refining, adjust the ratio of ingredients and increase the amount of carbon appropriately.
Stop feeding, thin material layer, low voltage, high current operation.
Pour (out) the furnace
Start the electrode first, and then start the electrode when the current is not less than 5000A.
The dumping furnace is ready to receive the package 0.5h in advance, and the cooling water is turned off.
When dumping, follow the principle of slow first, quicker, and slower last.
Leave a little melt to facilitate the next arc starting.
Pay attention to the tipping angle to prevent the nozzle from hitting the crimping package.
After pouring and resetting, when the electrode is 200~500mm away from the melt, the power supply will start.
Matters needing attention
Smelting process, there is no abnormal phenomenon, send full load as required, and reduce the number of electrode activities.
The furnace will not be unloaded for a long time, and the movable electrode can be forced to unload within 30-40 minutes.
After the electric furnace has a big reaction and the equipment is destroyed, or if the power is out for a long time, pay attention to the movable electrode.
If the electrode is stuck, you should get behind first.
Concentrate and run according to the process at full load.
