Products Description
The main raw materials of black silicon carbide is quartz sand and petroleum coke.They are smelted at high temperatures in a electric resistance furnace.It is brittle ,sharp,and has certain thermal and electrical conductivity,and is second only to diamond in hardness.It can be used for sanding, rust removal, polishing and grinding, sanding machines for special purposes, sanding wheels, sanding paper, flooring, casting, fire resistant aggregates, etc.
It has many advantages,such as stable chemical performance, high thermal conductivity,good insulation, strong wear resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient.
The toughness of black silicon carbide is higher than the green silicon carbide,mostly used for processing low tensile strength materials,such as glass,ceramics,stone,refractory materials,cast iron and no-ferrous metals.
