Ruby Fused Alumina

Ruby Fused Alumina is made of alumina powder and moderate chromium oxide ,which is melted at high temperature.Depending on the chromium content,chromium fused alumina is pink or purplish red.Its hardness is similar to white alumina,and toughness is higher than white alumina.Abrasives made of chromium fused alumina have good durability and high smoothness of grinding.Compared with white corundum,chromium fused alumina is more unbreakable,so it forms a smooth surface.

It is suitable for precision grinding such as measuring instruments,machine tool shafts,instrument parts,screwwork parts and sample grinding.It can also be used as grinding and polishing materials,precision casting sand,spraying materials,chemical catalyst carriers,special ceramics,high-grade refractories,etc.

Wide range in application

Chromium fused alumina abrasives are typically used in the manufacture of ceramic abrasives. The grinding wheels made of chromium fused alumina are sharp, low heating rate, high grinding ratio and less adhesion. The sintered abrasive tools made of it has the characteristics of bright color , does not have net-shaped cracks, and is free of rust spots.

Chromium fused alumina is also ideal for sandblasting, suitable for hardware, glass, zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, high carbon steel, high speed steel and so on. In particular, the effect of sand spraying on the thin-walled workpieces is obvious, the workpiece does not change color, and has high surface finish quality.

In the field of grinding and polishing,chrome corundum can improve the finish of products ,such as silicon wafers, optical lenses, precision instrumentation, polishing glass shell, glassware, ceramic stone, leather, plastic, metal parts and so on.
